Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; 6+ years of relevant experience preferred.
• AALAS certification required within 1 year of hire.
• Certification as veterinary or laboratory animal technologist (CVT, RLATg) preferred with 7+ years experience.

Responsibilities

• Observe animals and report signs of pain, distress, abnormalities, sickness or injury.
• Administer treatments to animals under direction of the veterinarian.
• Administer anesthesia and monitor animals during procedures.
• Assist with set-up/tear-down of training classes and prepare instruments/supplies.
• Maintain records of time, effort, and materials used for cost analysis.
