Job summary

Veritas Veterinary Partners in San Rafael, CA, is seeking Veterinary Technicians for our specialty and critical care teams. You will work alongside board-certified specialists in a high‑quality, collaborative setting designed to support patient care and staff growth.

We value experienced RVTs or skilled unlicensed techs, with 2+ years in a veterinary clinic and emergency or specialty experience being a plus.

Qualifications

• RVTs preferred; unlicensed techs considered.
• 2+ years of veterinary clinic experience.
• Emergency or specialty experience is a plus.
• Reliable, organized, and committed to high-level patient and client care.

Responsibilities

• Venipuncture, catheter placement, and diagnostic sample collection.
• Anesthesia monitoring, sedation, and procedures.
• IV catheter placement and fluid therapy management.
• Medication administration (IV, IM, SQ) and dose calculations.
• Radiographs and ultrasound support assistance.
• Monitor hospitalized patients and provide compassionate nursing care.
• Surgical prep, sterile technique, and instrument handling.
• Patient monitoring and pain scoring with trend recognition.

About You

• Registered Veterinary Technicians preferred, but will consider unlicensed techs
• 2+ years working in a veterinary clinic
• Emergency or specialty experience a plus
• Reliable, organized, and committed to providing high-level patient and client care

Experience

• Venipuncture, catheter placement, and diagnostic sample collection
• Anesthesia monitoring, sedation, and procedures
• Placing IV catheters and managing fluid therapy
• Medication calculation and administration (IV, IM, SQ)
• Diagnostic imaging assistance (radiographs, ultrasound support)
• Monitoring hospitalized patients and providing compassionate nursing care
• Surgical prep, sterile technique, and instrument handling
• Patient monitoring and pain scoring, with trend recognition

Compensation

• Base Pay: $34.00-$45.00/hour
• Pay depends on experience, whether you are licensed/unlicensed, and differentials
• Registered Veterinary Technicians eligible for $6,000 sign-on bonus
