Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Nashville, TN is seeking a motivated Veterinary Technician Trainer to join our team. The successful candidate will act as a Veterinary Technician Level III/IV/VTS liaison, delivering on-site training and ensuring high standards of patient care through education.

Qualifications include LMVT certification, state compliance, and prior BluePearl veterinary technician experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must maintain RVT/LVT/CVT/LMVT in accordance with state laws.
• High School Diploma required.
• Previous BluePearl Veterinary Technician experience (level IV or VTS) preferred.
• Demonstrated capacity to deliver effective training; supervisory/education background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proficiency and active technician status within the department.
• Facilitate staff training for technicians and assistants in assigned hospitals.
• Ensure staff have adequate continuing education.
• Implement new training programs as required by BluePearl.
• Elevate patient care through staff education.
• Foster effective relationships between technicians and hospital staff.
• Document training status and provide management with updates.
• Partner with the national Technician Trainer to develop programs and content.

Qualifications: Must be a LMVT

The Vet Technician Trainer is actively employed as a Veterinary Technician Level III, IV, or VTS and supports training for Technicians and Assistants within one or more hospitals. While primarily engaged in the delivery of remarkable nursing care for pets, the roleutilizesprovided materials tofacilitateon-site staff training, documents participation and results, and provides feedback to leadershipregardingprograms.

As a Vet Tech Trainer:

• Youmaintainproficiencyof theappropriate departmentand level Veterinary Technician competencies andisscheduled as an active Veterinary Technician.

• Youfacilitatestaff training for all technicians and assistants within assigned hospital(s).

• You ensure staffhasadequate continuing education.

• You work to implement any new global training program BluePearl requires of the hospital.

• You implement new, company-wide training programs as needed.

• You elevate the level of patient care through education within thehospital(s).

• You foster effective working relationships between technician/assistants and other hospital staff.

• You document the status of staff training and updates applicable management asrequiredthrough written reports and emails andretainsclear documentation on what employeesaccomplishand follow through on all training programs.

• You partner with the national Technician Trainer toassistin developingnew programs, digital content, recruitmentprogramsor other effortsretainand train staff.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Maintain RVT/LVT/CVT/LMVTin accordance withstate laws.

• High School Diplomarequired

• Possession of Vet Technician skill level III or greater required.Previousexperience as a BluePearl Veterinary Technician (skill level IV or VTS) is preferred.

• Demonstrated capacity to deliver effective trainingrequired.Previoussupervisory capacity or background in education preferred.
