Mill Pond Veterinary Hospital in Branford, CT, is seeking a Veterinary Technician (Experienced) to join our small animal practice. Full-time, weekday schedule with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• CVT credential preferred; experienced technicians are welcome to apply.
• At least two years of experience in a veterinary hospital.
• Confidence with anesthesia monitoring and surgical support.
• Strong patient handling and nursing skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• A positive, team-oriented attitude and commitment to compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Assisting veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Preparing patients for surgery and monitoring anesthesia throughout procedures.
• Recovering surgical patients and providing attentive post-operative care.
• Performing venipuncture, IV catheter placement, laboratory sample collection, and in-house diagnostics.
• Assisting with radiology and other diagnostic procedures.
• Monitoring hospitalized patients and documenting medical records accurately.
• Educating pet owners on medications, home care, and preventive medicine.
• Supporting daily treatment room operations while working closely with the veterinary team.
