Job summary

Western University of Health Sciences seeks a Registered Veterinary Technician POOL to support clinical teaching and patient care in the College of Veterinary Medicine. Responsibilities include teaching skills to students, assisting with client services, and supporting faculty. This continuous recruitment offers flexibility in scheduling with a full-time hourly role, and the expected pay range is $22.00–$26.52 per hour based on qualifications.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write medical records and recommendations.
• Ability to calculate client’s bills, drug dosages, and dilutions.
• Ability to restrain, handle, and perform physical exams on various species.
• Knowledge of small animal preventative care and veterinary procedures.
• Effective interaction with administration, faculty, staff, students, and clients.

Responsibilities

• Teach veterinary clinical and surgical skills to students.
• Assist with client service and patient care.
• Support faculty with technical and administrative tasks.

Skills

Ability to read and write medical records

Ability to teach technical skills

Education

Completion of a degree from an RVT school
