Veterinary Specialists of Alaska is looking for Veterinary Technicians and Licensed Veterinary Technicians to join a 3‑doctor hospital. We have a strong Technician team and we are seeking a positive, energetic addition who shares our dedication to protecting our clients, staff, patients, and community.
Compensation
Hourly rate: $23.00 - $33.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Sign‑on or relocation bonus available.
Qualifications
- Veterinary Technician in Alaska with a minimum one‑year experience.
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to function in a fast‑paced environment with compassion, efficiency, and flexibility.
Job Duties
- Surgical nursing care for patients in compliance with the attending doctor's orders.
- Assisting with consultations.
- Calculation and administration of medications.
- In‑house lab work sampling and analysis.
- Catheter placement.
- Monitoring and managing patients' comfort.
- Updating clients on their pet's progress.
Schedule
- 10‑hour shift
- Day shift
- Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
