Qualifications

• 1+ years of veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience
• Proficiency in patient assessment, nursing care, monitoring, and client communication
• Surgical assistance, aseptic technique, and patient handling/restraint
• Venipuncture, IV catheter placement, medication administration
• Radiology positioning, laboratory sample collection, and in-house diagnostics
• Accurate medical record documentation and client education/communication
• Strong critical thinking, multitasking, teamwork, and commitment to high-quality patient care

Responsibilities

• Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows
• Assisting in surgery
• Maintaining accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation
• Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
• Identifying patient concerns and supporting efficient case management across the hospital
• Building strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service
