Del Norte Animal Clinic seeks an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to support outpatient care and procedural services, including surgery and dentistry. You will balance exam room care, client communication, and hands-on procedural support in a dynamic general practice.

AAHA-accredited clinic in Albuquerque, offering digital radiography and a dedicated clinical environment. Eligible candidates include VTNE-eligible graduates or those transferring licensure, with full-time or part-time

Qualifications

• 1+ year of veterinary technician experience.
• Proficiency in surgical assistance and aseptic technique.
• Medication administration and accurate drug calculations.
• Lab sample collection and in‑house diagnostic testing.
• Safe, low‑stress patient handling and restraint techniques.
• Client education and communication with pet owners.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced hospital setting.
• Strong critical thinking and attention to detail.
• Effective teamwork and professional communication.

Responsibilities

• Support efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows.
• Perform anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery.
• Perform dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography.
• Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation.
• Review treatment plans and discharge instructions with clients clearly.
• Identify patient concerns and support efficient case management.
• Build strong client relationships through education and service.
