BluePearl Specialty + Emergency Pet Hospital in Tacoma is seeking an experienced Surgery Veterinary Technician to support surgical patients and mentor teammates. The role focuses on preparation, restraint, IV catheter placement, phlebotomy, nerve blocks, cytology slides, radiographs, anesthesia monitoring, and advanced imaging.

Qualifications

• You prepare patients for surgery.
• You safely restrain patients for procedures.
• You place intravenous catheters in all peripheral veins.
• You perform phlebotomy.
• You perform local nerve blocks
• You prepare slides for cytology.
• You proficiently perform digital radiographs.
• You monitor patients during anesthesia or while sedated.
• You will perform advanced imaging such as CT scans and MRI procedures.
• You have a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers.
• You have patience and empathy to address client concerns.

Pay : $25.63 - $36.81/Hr

This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through Kahuna leveling system.

We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked for nights and weekends.

• Mon – Fri: 6pm to 8am = $4.50 Shift Differential

• Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $4.50 Shift Differential

• Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $8.00 Shift Differential

As a Surgery Technician, you will:
