HousePaws Morrisville is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician – Surgery to join our surgical team in Morrisville, PA. You will be the right-hand person to veterinarians during procedures, monitor anesthesia, prep patients, and support post-op care.

This role emphasizes a 4-day work week and collaborative, compassionate care for patients. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of vet tech experience, strong anesthesia skills, and a passion for learning and pet advocacy.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of veterinary technician experience (surgery experience a big plus).
• Skilled with anesthesia and surgical monitoring.
• Calm, confident, and compassionate—especially during surgical discharges.
• Team player who supports their crew and loves learning.

Responsibilities

• Monitor anesthesia during surgery and assist veterinarians.
• Prepare patients, assist in procedures, and ensure comfort and safety.
• Pain management and patient recovery post-op.
• IV catheter placement and venipuncture.
• Surgical prep and instrument sterilization.
• Dental cleanings and radiology.
• Pre- and post-op client communication.

The Role:

You’ll be the right-hand person to our veterinarians during surgery — monitoring anesthesia, prepping patients, assisting in procedures, and making sure every furry patient is comfortable, safe, and well cared for. You’ll also put your skills to use with:

• Pain management & patient recovery
