Job description

BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring an exceptional Veterinary Technician to join our Surgery Team.

LVT Pay: $25.60 - $49.15 / hour

Responsibilities include:

1. Providing nursing care to stable patients according to hospital standards of care and core values.
2. Placing peripheral intravenous catheters in the cephalic vein.
3. Performing physical exams and monitoring vital parameters, alerting the doctor of abnormalities.
4. Setting up and administering intravenous fluids, including subcutaneous fluids.
5. Operating and troubleshooting all brands of intravenous fluid pumps.
6. Monitoring patient response to fluid therapy.
7. Post-operative client communication and working independently within a team.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years of experience in a veterinary hospital preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Availability for rotating on-call schedule after training.
