Job description

BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring an exceptional Veterinary Technician to join our Surgery Team.

LVT Pay: $25.60 - $49.15 / hour

Responsibilities include:

1. Providing nursing care to stable patients according to hospital standards of care and core values.
2. Utilizing skills to place peripheral intravenous catheters in the cephalic vein.
3. Performing physical exams and accurately monitoring vital signs.
4. Understanding normal vital parameters and alerting doctors to abnormalities.
5. Setting up and administering intravenous fluids, including subcutaneous fluids.
6. Operating and troubleshooting all brands of intravenous fluid pumps.
7. Monitoring patient response to fluid therapy, including signs of overload.
8. Engaging in post-operative client communication and working independently within a team environment.
9. Participating in a rotating on-call schedule after training.

Qualifications: Preferably with two or more years of experience in a veterinary hospital.
