BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring a Surgery Veterinary Technician to join the Nashville, TN team!

Pay:

$20.00 - $40.00 / hour

Qualified LVT applicants eligible for up to $500 sign-on bonus

This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through our leveling system.

Candidates with VTS credentialing are eligible for compensation commensurate with experience

As a Surgery Veterinary Technician, you will:

• Assist in patient procedures using knowledge of anesthesia and analgesia related protocols and procedures, including formulating anesthetic plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Monitor anesthesia, troubleshoot anesthetic complications, and make appropriate interventions.
• Perform intravenous catheter placement, endotracheal intubation, and operate and maintain anesthetic equipment.
• Perform physical exams; accurately assess vital signs and alert the doctor to abnormalities.
• Set up intravenous fluids and CRIs.
• Expand your knowledge and skills, including advanced anesthetic techniques like epidurals and difficult airway management.
• Operate various intravenous fluid pumps and troubleshoot errors.
• Handle patient care from pre-op to recovery, including monitoring and managing responses to treatments.
• Manage appointments, obtain histories, keep medical records, handle invoicing, and patient discharges.
