BluePearl Pet Hospital in Levittown, PA seeks a Specialty Veterinary Technician Supervisor to lead and mentor a team of veterinary professionals, maintain advanced patient care skills, and drive high standards of care in a busy emergency and specialty setting.

The successful candidate will train staff, collaborate with hospital leadership, and implement process improvements while fostering a collaborative, growth-focused culture.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate advanced proficiency as a Veterinary Technician and maintain related skills.
• Build relationships with hospital leadership to uphold care standards.
• Serve as SME for daily operations, patient care, and skill development.
• Mentor staff with strong work habits and clinical knowledge.
• Identify conflicts and seek resolution to maintain teamwork.
• Coach staff to sustain high performance and productivity.
• Communicate changes in protocol and policies clearly.
• Foster positive relationships across hospital and admin.
• Lead process-improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with Technician Training Manager for ongoing training.
• Document issues and provide performance recommendations.
• Other duties as assigned.

As a Specialty Veterinary Technician Supervisor, you will...

• Demonstrate highly advanced proficiency as a Veterinary Technician or Advanced Patient Care Associate within their appropriate department and maintains all related skills and knowledge.
• Create effective working relationships with hospital leadership to ensure standards of care are understood, effectively communicated, and delivered upon.
• Serve as a subject-matter expert and resource to Technicians and Assistants regarding daily operations, patient care, and skill development.
• Serve as a mentor to staff by demonstrating positive work habits, effective clinical skills and business knowledge.
• Identify conf licts in the workplace and seek assistance in resolution in order to create effective working relationships.
• Coach staff to create a culture of strong performance and high productivity.
• Clearly communicate with team members to ensure consistent understanding of new ideas, changes in protocol, policies, and impending changes.
• Build positive relationships across the hospital and administration to facilitate an environment of teamwork .
• Implement process improvement initiatives.
• Work with the Technician Training Manager to schedule ongoing training.
• Document performance-related issues, assesses team members during annual review, and provides hospital leadership with recommendations related to performance management and discipline.
• Other job duties as assigned
