Overview

BluePearl Pet Hospital is looking for a Veterinary Technician Supervisor with passion and the ability to help motivate, engage, and train a team of veterinary professionals at our Midtown, NY location.

This position is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to be a leader in a dynamic team of veterinary professionals. The ideal candidate will be excellent at training and mentoring. They will have advanced veterinary skills. We have a dynamic work environment, exciting medical cases, and great career development opportunities. Schedule and pay

Schedule: Sunday-Wednesday

Pay: $33.00 - $51.50 / hour

Note: This pay band is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency assessment tool. Candidates with VTS credentialing are eligible for compensation commensurate with experience.

We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked for nights and weekends. Shift Differentials are based on a 4-hour minimum. For example:

• Mon – Fri: 6pm to 8am = +$4.50/hr. Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = +$4.50/hr. Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = +$8.00/hr. Shift Differential

Responsibilities

• Serve as a mentor to lower-level staff by demonstrating positive work habits, effective clinical skills and business knowledge while working alongside the technical staff.
• Coach team members to be continuously aware and proactive at anticipating and addressing patient and client needs and to seek assistance with escalated, stressful situations.
• Work with hospital leadership to organize team huddles and meetings.
• Assist Vet Tech Managers with managing schedules for technician and assistant staff.
• Identify conflicts in the workplace and seek assistance in resolution.
• Provide feedback leadership and works to develop performance improvement plans.
• Other related duties as assigned.
