VCA Abbott Animal Hospitalis hiring an experienced and determinedCertified Veterinary Technician Supervisorto helpoversee clinic operations and leadour team of Veterinary Technicians, and Veterinary Assistants.

Qualified Veterinary Assistants with supervisor experience will also be considered for the role.

About the Role

AsVeterinary Technician Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

• Directing work flow on the floor
• Cultivate an engaging work environment and maintain our strong hospital culture
• Work cohesively with hospital management and supervisory teams to aid in the progression of the hospital
• Help with the interview process for potential new hiresand onboard all new associates
• Assists in the educational development of technicians and their skills
• Conduct staff meetings
• Provide opportunities for staff to gain more firsthand experience
• Mentoring technicians within the department
• Resolve conflicts in a professional and humble manner
• Refining and implementing protocols
• Ensure that VCA policies, guidelines, and recommendations are implemented by all members of the technical staff.

Having mastered the entire range of vet tech skills yourself, you are a role model for the team.You will work alongside our Veterinarians, Hospital Manager, and Assistant Managertoprovide mentorship, ensure the hospital runs efficiently and fosters a winning environment.

Qualifications:

• Credentialed Veterinary Technician- CVT, LVT, RVT, LVMT (FL CVT Preferred)
• 5+ years of clinical experience
• Team leadership experience
• Passion for Veterinary Medicine
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

The starting compensation is $27 / hour for a credentialed veterinary technician
