Job summary

VCA Morris Plains Animal Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Technician Supervisor to lead our tech staff and join the leadership team as a Technician/Assistant Supervisor. The hourly range is $22.00–$28.00, and credentialing is a plus but not required.

The successful candidate will apply high-quality veterinary medicine and patient care through strong leadership, policy implementation, scheduling, and record-keeping. Join a hospital that values growth, education, and a positive work environment.

Qualifications

• Must have strong leadership and supervision abilities for a technical team.
• Experience guiding department policies, procedures and team meetings.
• Ability to coach, motivate and develop staff while maintaining quality patient care.
• Demonstrated scheduling and people-management skills; strong communication.
• Credentialing is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise veterinary technicians and assistants.
• Implement department policies and ensure adherence.

• Enforce charge capture education and proper controlled substances handling.

Seeking a Veterinary Technician Supervisor

Hourly Range - $22.00/hour-$28.00/hour

VCA Morris Plains Animal Hospital is seeking a highly experienced Veterinary Technician, Credentialed a plus but not required, to join our leadership team as Technician/Assistant Supervisor.

The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality veterinary medicine and patient care—with the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen.

This is a working supervisory position which is responsible for the leadership and of the Veterinary Technician/Assistant Staff. In addition to all Veterinary Technician responsibilities, duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Implementing department policies and procedures.
• Scheduling staff and conducting team meetings.
• Enforcing and education on charge captures.
• Accurately handling and recording controlled drugs.
• Record keeping.
• Marketing.
• Facility maintenance.
• Coaching team Members.
• Working closely with Leadership to brainstorm solutions and progress.
• Marinating a positive, solution oriented, can do attitude.

Strong people skills are required. Must be dedicated to creating a healthy work environment where all employees are elevated, empowered and enjoy what they do.
