VCA County West Animal Hospital in Kankakee, IL is seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician to join our leadership team as Technician Supervisor. You will mentor staff, lead daily operations and collaborate with the Medical Director and Hospital Manager to maintain high-quality patient care.

Job description

VCA County West Animal Hospital is looking to add a Certified Veterinary Technician to our leadership team as a Technician Supervisor.

You will work alongside our Medical Director and Hospital Manager to provide mentorship, ensure the hospital runs efficiently, and foster a winning environment. You will have the opportunity to build your leadership skills and have a clear career path.

Responsibilities

• Implementing department policies and procedures.
• Scheduling staff and conducting team meetings.
• Accurately handling and recording controlled drugs.
• Interviewing, training and mentoring new and existing staff.
• Delivering employee performance feedback.
• Monitoring day-to-day activities and engaging with support staff.

Schedule: Full-time opportunity, 4 x 10-hour shifts with rotating Saturdays.

Compensation: Pay range is $23 - 26/hr and negotiable based on experience, skills, knowledge, abilities and other relevant credentials.
