Job summary

VCA Sugar Grove Animal Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Technician Supervisor to lead the team and mentor staff. This full-time role involves overseeing day-to-day hospital operations alongside the Medical Director and Hospital Manager, while delivering high-quality veterinary care.

The ideal candidate has RVT credentials or eligibility to transfer a state license, with strong leadership and communication skills and a passion for staff development.

Qualifications

• RVT or eligible to transfer state license (LVT, CVT, LVMT) is required.

Responsibilities

• Implementing department policies and procedures.
• Scheduling staff and conducting team meetings.
• Accurately handling and recording controlled drugs.
• Interviewing, training and mentoring new and existing staff.
• Delivering employee performance feedback.
• Monitoring day-to-day activities and engaging with support staff.

Job description

VCA Sugar Grove Animal Hospital is looking to add a Veterinary Technician to our leadership team as a Technician Supervisor.

Schedule

Full-time opportunity, 4 x 10 hour shifts with rotating Saturdays.

Compensation

Pay range is determined by skill set and years of experience in the field.

In addition to all Veterinary Technician responsibilities, duties will include, but are not limited to:
