Great Road Veterinary Hospital – Veterinary Technician Supervisor

Location: Acton, Massachusetts

Type: Full‑time, Day shift

About the Role

This hands‑on leadership position blends clinical excellence with team development. As a Veterinary Technician Supervisor, you will lead by example on the floor, mentor and develop technicians and assistants, partner closely with DVMs and hospital leadership, help drive consistency in medical standards, protocols, and communication, and ensure a high level of efficiency, accountability, and team engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coach team members in technical skills and client communication

  • Address challenges in real‑time with professionalism and clarity
  • Contribute to hiring, training, and performance development
What You Bring
  • 5 years or more of veterinary technician experience
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience is preferred but not required
  • Strong technical skills across anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, and diagnostics
  • Confidence in coaching, feedback, and team development
  • Excellent communication and client education skills
  • Ability to stay organized and lead in a fast‑paced environment
  • High emotional intelligence, professionalism, and accountability
  • Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT/LVT/RVT) – preferred
  • Degree in veterinary technology or related field – preferred
