Job summary

PetVet Care Centers’ Friendly Animal Clinic in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join the team. The role involves providing high-quality care, assisting with surgeries and exams, maintaining records, and supporting clients with compassionate service.

The position offers a sign-on bonus up to $1,000 based on experience as a credentialed veterinary technician, with a Monday–Friday schedule and rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must hold a CVT, LVT, RVT or LVMT license.
• Minimum of two years of experience as a veterinary assistant.
• One year of surgical experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to all patients.
• Greet patients and their owners, take weight and vital signs.
• Triage patients, perform exams, administer medications as directed by licensed staff.
• Calm and soothe anxious patients.
• Assist doctors and technicians with medication administration and restraint.
• Perform laboratory tests and take radiographs.
• Maintain medical records and hospital equipment; ensure safety and cleanliness.
