Job summary

WellHaven Pet Health in Hillsboro, OR is hiring a Veterinary Technician to support veterinarians and deliver compassionate care. This onsite role includes lab work, assistance in exams and surgeries, client education, and accurate charting.

Expect a fast-paced hospital environment with shift work, potential weekends, and a sign-on bonus. Industry licensing and 1+ year experience preferred; strong communication and multitasking are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree is a plus.
• Must hold and maintain CVT, RVT, or LVT licensing as applicable.
• At least 1 year of veterinary hospital experience preferred.
• Strong client communication and compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist in examination, treatment, and monitoring under a veterinarian.
• Prepare and analyze lab samples; operate lab equipment; record results.
• Assist in surgical procedures and post-operative care.
• Educate clients on wellness, nutrition, medications, and disease prevention.
• Maintain accurate medical records and manage supplies and equipment.
• Handle reception duties: triage calls, schedule appointments, admit/discharge patients.
