Job summary

WellHaven Pet Health is seeking a Veterinary Technician to support the veterinary team in Hillsboro, Oregon. The role involves assisting veterinarians during exams, surgeries, and treatments, and educating clients on wellness and preventive care.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of veterinary hospital experience, a high school diploma (associate degree a plus), and valid certification/licensing (CVT, RVT, or LVT). The position is onsite and may include long shifts and weekend work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree a plus.
• Must maintain a valid veterinary certification/licensing (CVT/RVT/LVT).
• 1+ years of veterinary hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in examination, treatment, and monitoring under a veterinarian.
• Prepare and analyze lab samples; operate equipment; record findings.
• Assist in surgical preparation, anesthesia monitoring, and post‑operative care.
• Educate clients on wellness plans, care, nutrition, and disease prevention.
• Maintain accurate medical charting and hospital records.
