Job summary

WellHaven Pet Health in Hillsboro, OR is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians, ensuring the well-being of pets and educating clients while upholding the highest standards of veterinary care.

You will assist with surgeries, dentistry, labs, venipuncture, charting, and reception duties. A NAVTA-approved program or equivalent plus 6+ months of veterinary experience is preferred, with on-site shifts including some weekends.

Qualifications

• NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent.
• 6+ months of experience in the veterinary industry.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and technicians in surgeries, dentistry, and laboratory procedures.
• Maintain accurate medical charts and client communications for Wellness Plans.
• Handle reception duties: phone calls, scheduling, patient intake & discharge.
• Ensure completion of hospital duties before end of shift.
• Provide professional customer service to clients and team.
