NOCO Humane is seeking a Veterinary Technician (Registered/Provisional) to provide clinical and administrative support in our Veterinary Services Department. The role includes surgical assistance, patient monitoring, recordkeeping, radiography, and medication administration in a shelter setting.

Candidates should have state certification, at least one year of animal-handling experience, and comfort with anesthesia changes; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus and may carry a wage premium.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Veterinary Technician program or a Provisional/Registered Technician.
• Minimum of one year animal handling experience in shelter/clinic settings.
• Proficient with intubation, IV catheter placement and anesthesia monitoring.

Responsabilités

• Assist surgical program including induction, intubation and recovery monitoring.
• Maintain accurate medical records and enter data into shelter software.
• Perform dental prophylaxis and radiographs; assist veterinarians as needed.
• Administer treatments and medications; perform minor procedures like sutures.
• Support volunteers and students; assist with dentals and radiology as needed.
• Assist with intake exams, triage, and general animal care tasks.
