Eastown Animal Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa, is seeking a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our long-standing, small-animal practice. You will work closely with veterinarians to provide high-quality care and collaborate with a supportive team.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians in providing high-quality medical care to patients
• Assist with examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures
• Perform technical nursing duties appropriate to training and credentials
• Safely handle and restrain patients while prioritizing comfort and well-being
• Collect and prepare diagnostic samples for laboratory testing
• Administer medications and treatments under veterinarian direction
• Assist with surgical preparation, anesthesia, patient monitoring, and recovery
• Support dental procedures and preventive-care services
• Educate clients about treatments, medications, preventive care, and at-home instructions
• Maintain complete and accurate patient medical records
• Communicate effectively with veterinarians and fellow team members
• Help maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked treatment areas

Salary: Competitive and based on experience
Schedule: 4 day work week (7:30am-5pm 3 days a week, 7:30-6pm on Thursdays) rotating Saturdays (7:30am - 12pm)
