Position Overview
Westbrook Animal Hospital is hiring a full‑time Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT). The role involves providing quality medical care for dogs and cats while supporting the veterinary team and ensuring a safe, clean clinic environment.
Responsibilities
- Safely restrain dogs and cats for medical procedures and patient care.
- Monitor anesthesia and document patient vitals during procedures.
- Perform laboratory testing, diagnostic imaging, and sample collection.
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed.
- Place IV catheters and support surgical procedures.
- Prepare surgical instruments and maintain sterile operating areas.
- Support veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures.
- Educate clients and communicate patient updates compassionately.
- Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and compliant hospital environment.
Qualifications
- Current North Carolina Veterinary Technician license (newly licensed RVTs encouraged to apply).
- Strong technical and patient care skills.
- Experience with anesthesia monitoring and surgical support.
- Confidence performing blood draws, catheter placement, and diagnostics.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to continue learning.
