Job summary

Qualifications

  • Veterinary technician experience required; radiology or specialty experience preferred.
  • Strong technical skills including venipuncture, catheter placement, medication administration, patient restraint, and nursing care.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic imaging workflow and comfort with radiology equipment.
  • Excellent communication, organization, multitasking, and client service skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment with teamwork and patient safety focus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for radiology and advanced imaging procedures while ensuring safety, comfort, and procedural readiness.
  • Assist with patient handling, restraint, positioning, sedation, anesthesia support, and monitoring as directed for imaging procedures.
  • Operate radiology and imaging equipment and ensure high-quality image acquisition and efficient workflow.
  • Maintain accurate medical records, imaging documentation, and communication with radiologists, doctors, and support teams.
  • Support a clean, organized, and compliant imaging environment while collaborating across departments to ensure continuity of care.

This is an exciting opportunity for a technician who is passionate about diagnostic imaging, enjoys working in a fast-paced specialty environment, and wants to play an essential role in supporting advanced patient care across multiple services. At Mount Laurel Animal Hospital, our radiology technicians are an important part of both the patient and clinical team experience. This role requires strong technical ability, close attention to detail, sound judgment, and a genuine commitment to patient safety and teamwork. Position Overview

This role provides technical and nursing support for patients undergoing diagnostic imaging procedures within the radiology service. This role works closely with radiologists, veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and other hospital departments to ensure safe patient handling, high-quality image acquisition, accurate documentation, and efficient workflow throughout the imaging process. This individual will thrive in a specialty environment that requires technical skill, adaptability, and strong collaboration across departments.

A typical day may include preparing patients for imaging procedures, assisting with sedation or anesthesia support, positioning patients carefully for diagnostic quality images, operating imaging equipment, supporting radiologists and medical teams, and helping maintain an efficient imaging schedule. Throughout the day, you will play a key role in ensuring images are obtained safely, accurately, and with the attention to detail needed to support excellent case outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
