Garden State Veterinary Services in Woodbridge, NJ is a multispecialty practice with boarded specialists in Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Radiology, Neurology, and Critical Care. Clients and patients also have access to ophthalmology, oncology, radiation oncology, dermatology, and radioactive iodine treatment.

We seek a full‑time X‑Ray/Radiology technician for our busy emergency and specialty practice. The candidate will manage all radiographs scheduled for emergent and specialty cases and will have the opportunity to be trained on running our CT system.

Responsibilities

• Oversee patients that require radiographs in both emergency and specialty contexts.
• Safely prepare and position patients for radiographs.
• Attend to patients’ needs during imaging.
• Provide empathy, comfort, and nursing care while advocating for patients during hospitalization.
• Maintain all equipment on a per‑use basis, ensuring safety and adherence to best practice.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience as a veterinary technician.
• Comfortable taking direction from doctors and other technicians.
• Updated knowledge of radiation protection and safety.
• Prioritize patients based on severity and time of admission.
• Comprehensive understanding of various radiograph techniques.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and organizational skills.
• Proactive thinking, positive attitude, honesty, integrity, and a desire to learn and have fun.
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and commit to long‑term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community.

Schedule

Sunday – Wednesday, 8 am – 7 pm or Wednesday – Saturday, 8 am – 7 pm.

Salary

$23/hr – $34/hr depending on skills, experience, and credentials.
