Job summary

Garden State Veterinary Specialists in Eatontown, NJ is seeking a Full-time Veterinary Technician (Radiology) to join our busy emergency and specialty practice. The right candidate will have some experience as a veterinary technician and will manage all radiographs for emergent and specialty cases, with opportunity to be trained on CT.

We offer a competitive salary, health/dental/vision insurance, 401K with employer match, and other benefits; 4-day schedule 8AM–7PM, with weekend work.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience as a veterinary technician.
• Comfortable taking direction from doctors and technicians.
• Updated knowledge of radiation protection and safety knowledge.
• Comprehensive understanding of radiograph techniques.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee patients that require radiographs in both emergency and specialty.
• Safely prepare and position patients for radiographs.
• Attend to patient’s needs during imaging.
• Provide empathy, comfort, and nursing care to all patients and act as a patient advocate during hospitalization.
• Maintain all radiography equipment and ensure safety protocols.
