Job summary

Quakertown Veterinary Clinic, part of Community Veterinary Partners, is seeking a Veterinary Technician for our General Practice & Emergency department. This busy 24-hour hospital offers exposure to routine care and urgent cases across a diverse patient mix.

The role is second shift with multiple start times, competitive compensation with a nightly shift differential, opportunities for skill growth, and a collaborative team environment focused on Fear Free care.

Qualifications

• Experience in a veterinary hospital setting.
• General practice experience required; emergency experience a plus.
• CVT, LVT, or RVT credentials preferred but not required.
• Strong technical and patient care skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay calm in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Availability to work rotating weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with wellness visits, sick appointments, and emergencies.
• Collect laboratory samples and perform venipuncture.
• Place and maintain IV catheters.
• Administer medications and treatments.
• Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgeries.
• Obtain diagnostic radiographs and other imaging.
• Provide nursing care for hospitalized patients.
• Assist with emergency triage and patient stabilization.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
• Communicate with clients about care plans.
• Support small animal and occasional large animal cases.
• Practice Fear Free and low-stress handling when possible.

What You'll Do

As a member of our clinical team, you'll support both our General Practice and Emergency services, providing high-quality patient care throughout each shift.
