Job summary

Quakertown Veterinary Clinic is hiring Veterinary Technician Assistants to join our busy Bucks County hospital. You will work with veterinarians and technicians to support patient care, maintain clean rooms, and assist during exams and procedures.

We offer full-time and part-time opportunities with day, evening, and overnight shifts, including rotating weekends and holiday coverage. Previous animal-care experience is helpful, but training is provided for motivated individuals.

Qualifications

• Previous animal-handling or animal-care experience is helpful but not required.
• Interest in veterinary medicine or pursuing a career in veterinary technology is encouraged.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Dependable, organized, and willing to learn.
• Professional attitude and a positive approach to patient care.
• Ability to perform physical job duties, including regularly lifting and carrying up to 10 pounds.
• Ability to work safely and comfortably around dogs, cats, and occasional large animal patients.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily care and comfort to hospitalized animals.
• Walking dogs and assisting with routine patient care.
• Cleaning and disinfecting kennels, cages, litter boxes, and treatment areas.
• Maintaining cleanliness throughout the hospital, including sweeping, mopping, and general housekeeping.
• Washing dishes, food bowls, and laundry.
• Restocking supplies and maintaining organized work areas.
• Preparing examination rooms and treatment areas before and after appointments and procedures.
• Assisting with animal restraint during examinations and treatments under the supervision of veterinary medical staff.
• Supporting client visits and assisting veterinary team members with daily hospital operations.

Job Responsibilities

Veterinary Technician Assistants play an important role in supporting our medical team and ensuring the comfort and well-being of our patients.

Responsibilities include:

• Additional shift differentials are available for eligible overnight, weekend, and holiday hours.
