Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year as a veterinary technician in a clinic or research setting.
• Independent, decisive, and capable with veterinary knowledge and recordkeeping.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work around nonhuman primates.

Responsibilities

• Monitor animal health status and maintain medical records.
• Assist with basic and complex animal care procedures and medication administration.
• Prepare, complete, and document basic and complex procedures and care activities.
• Maintain and update records related to medical procedures and billing.
• Assist in training and supervising student employees as needed.
• Document and disseminate results to appropriate entities.
• Serve as point of contact for animal owners and stakeholders.
