Qualifications

• Previous hands-on veterinary experience.
• Licensure as Veterinary Technician welcomed but not required.
• Strong patient handling and restraint skills.
• Experience assisting with examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Experience triaging patients and obtaining histories.
• Ability to multitask in a busy clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients and obtain medical histories.
• Document patient vital signs and assessments.
• Safely handle and restrain patients during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Assist veterinarians with appointments, treatments, and procedures.
• Support surgical procedures, including preparation, monitoring, recovery, and instrument care.
• Assist with dental procedures and patient monitoring.
• Collect and prepare diagnostic samples as trained.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Monitor patients and communicate changes to the medical team.
• Educate clients about care, discharge instructions, and preventive care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and clean treatment areas.
• Promote efficient daily workflow and team collaboration.
