Fetch Specialty & Emergency Veterinary Centers in Greenville, SC, invites a Veterinary Technician to join our Ophthalmology team. You will assist a board-certified ophthalmologist, perform eye examinations, administer medications, and help care for patients throughout their eye care journey.

We value compassionate patient care, accurate record-keeping, and ongoing education to stay current in veterinary ophthalmology.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• CVT/LVT/RVT certification preferred.
• Experience in veterinary ophthalmology a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist board-certified Ophthalmologist in eye examinations, diagnose ocular conditions, and plan treatments.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Perform diagnostic tests including tonometry, fluorescein staining, digital imaging, and ultrasound as needed.
• Monitor anesthetized patients during surgical procedures and assist in post-operative care.
• Educate pet owners about eye health, treatment plans, and medication administration.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care.
• Ensure a clean and safe work environment.
• Participate in continuing education and stay updated on advancements in veterinary ophthalmology.

Education
