About PESCM: Located in San Rafael, the only 24/7 veterinary hospital in Marin with specialties in Internal Medicine, Oncology, Surgery, Neurology, Cardiology, Urgent Care, Emergency, Radiology, and Critical Care. Responsibilities

• Assisting with Ophthalmologic exams
• Obtaining intraocular pressures
• Measuring blood pressure using Doppler
• Documenting history and updates in medical records
• Assisting in anesthetic and sedated procedures
• Maintaining accurate treatment sheets
• Taking radiographs and obtaining and preparing various blood samples for diagnostic testing
• Providing client education on a wide range of at‑home care

Qualifications

• Experience working as a Registered Veterinary Technician
• Comprehensive understanding and experience with anesthetic monitoring
• Proficiency in processing basic laboratory specimens
• Working knowledge of anatomy and physiology
• Understanding of normal vs. abnormal physiologic ranges
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to developing long‑term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community
• Positive outlook and ability to work well in a collaborative environment
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to deliver exceptional client service
• Honesty, integrity, and a desire to learn and have fun

Schedule and Compensation

Schedule: Tuesday through Friday, four 10‑hour day shifts

Salary: $34.00 – $36.00 per hour

Sign‑On Bonus: $3,000 for licensed technicians
