Job summary

Pet Haven Veterinary Clinic in Wichita, KS is seeking a compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our fast-paced team. You will assist veterinarians during exams, restrain patients, administer meds, and educate clients on care.

The role requires 6 months to 1 year of clinic experience preferred, strong communication and teamwork, and the ability to multitask in a busy environment. Some weekend shifts and holidays may be required. We offer benefits and competitive pay based on experience.

Qualifications

  • 6 months to 1 year veterinary clinic or animal care experience preferred (not required)
  • Comfortable handling dogs and cats of all sizes
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to multitask in a busy environment
  • Experience with veterinary software is a plus

About the Position

Pet Haven Veterinary Clinic is looking for a compassionate, dependable Veterinary Technician to join our team! We're seeking someone who enjoys working with animals, values teamwork, and thrives in a fast-paced veterinary clinic.

Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians during exams, and treatments
  • Safely restrain patients
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
  • Perform in-house lab work (bloodwork, urinalysis) and prepare samples for outside labs
  • Educate clients on medications, procedures, and preventive care
  • Perform routine procedures, including nail trims, ear cleanings, and anal gland expressions
Qualifications
