Pet Haven Veterinary Clinic in Wichita, KS is seeking a compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our fast-paced team. The role involves assisting veterinarians, restraining patients, administering medications, and educating clients about care.

We seek team players with strong communication and multitasking skills. This is a full-time position with weekday availability and some weekends, plus benefits after probation.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of veterinary clinic or animal care experience preferred (not required).
• Comfortable handling dogs and cats of all sizes.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to multitask in a busy environment.
• Experience with veterinary software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during exams, and treatments
• Safely restrain patients
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
• Perform in-house lab work (bloodwork, urinalysis) and prepare samples for outside labs
• Educate clients on medications, procedures, and preventive care
• Perform routine procedures, including nail trims, ear cleanings, and anal gland expressions

Qualifications

• At least 6 months to 1 year of veterinary clinic or animal care experience preferred (not required)
• Comfortable handling dogs and cats of all sizes
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to multitask in a busy environment
• Experience with veterinary software is a plus

Schedule

• Weekday availability required
• Some weekends and occasional holidays
• Morning and evening shifts may be scheduled
