Ethos Veterinary Health is looking for a dedicated Veterinary Technician specializing in Neurology. This full-time role requires expertise in anesthesia monitoring during MRI procedures and hands-on experience with complex neurological conditions. Compensation
  • Credentialed Veterinary Technicians: $25-$35 hourly
  • $3000 SIGN ON BONUS

Job Description

In this role, the Neurology Technician will be responsible for monitoring anesthesia during MRI procedures and neurosurgical cases. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience with complex and challenging neurological conditions, and to deepen your understanding of brain function and neurological disease.

Responsibilities
  • Technical skills: venipuncture, blood draw, placing IV catheter, lab sample collection
  • Admitting and discharging procedural and surgical cases.
  • Dispensing medications directed by veterinarian.
  • Preparing estimates and collecting payment from clients.
  • Assisting doctor with outpatient appointments, consults and rechecks.
  • Anesthesia monitoring, endotracheal intubation, assisting the doctor with surgical cases, including scrubbing into surgery.
  • Ability to multitask in fast paced environment with a positive attitude.
  • Surgical assisting: preparing and maintaining the surgical environment
  • Calculate drug dosages (IV, IM and SQ) of any pre-induction medications, and administering the same.
  • Professional client communication.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least TWO YEARS of veterinary technician experience is REQUIRED in a surgical setting.
  • Registered Veterinary Technician, in Colorado, or the ability to become registered upon hire.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus!

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of Veterinary Technician experience in a Emergency or Specialty Hospital
  • Experience with performing anesthesia for MRI or CT scans
  • Experience with more critical anesthesia
  • Ability to multitask and anticipate the department's needs.
  • Excellent communication.
  • Experience using Medical Record and Whiteboard programs in a veterinary setting.
