A leading veterinary hospital is seeking experienced veterinary assistants to support the Neurology department in Los Angeles. The role involves assisting in advanced imaging and surgical procedures, ensuring excellent patient care, and collaborating with a skilled team. VCA Animal Specialty Groupis a long-established 24 hour emergency and specialty hospital. We are a large teaching hospital with residency programs, specialty and rotating internships. We host veterinary, RVT, and veterinary assistant student externships. We focus on and encourage learning and growth professionally.
Job Type: On-site, Full-time 4/10
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Neurology details and services:VCA ASG has 3 fulltime board-certified Neurologists, one Neurology resident, two Neurology interns, and a highly experienced staff of licensed technicians and veterinary assistants. The department focuses on all thing relating to the nervous system, including head tilts, circling, seizures, limb weakness and paralysis, and much more. Some procedures include advanced imaging such as MRI and CT for diagnostic purposes, ventral slots and hemilaminectomies, spinal taps, EMG testing, etc.
