As a Nephrology/Dialysis Veterinary Technician, your key responsibilities include:

1. Supporting diagnostic procedures such as urinalysis, blood tests, and imaging.
2. Participating in the management, monitoring, and treatment of dialysis cases.
3. Administering treatments including fluid therapy and medications, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
4. Monitoring patients' vital signs and responses to treatment.
5. Ordering supplies and maintaining cleanliness of the dialysis unit.
6. Maintaining and calibrating clinical equipment.
7. Providing client education on pet conditions, treatments, and home care.
8. Collaborating with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff for comprehensive care.

Qualifications we're looking for:

• Critical Care or Internal Medicine experience; RVT preferred.
• On-call shifts availability.
• Technical skills: advanced phlebotomy, jug catheter placement, central lines.
• Preferred skills: urinary catheter placement, anesthesia, transfusion medicine, ICU monitoring.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and pharmacology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Calm, professional demeanor in a busy environment.
• Knowledge of Ezyvet and SmartFlow is a plus.

Compensation:

• Non-Credentialed Assistants: $21/hr - $32/hr
• Licensed Technicians: $26/hr - $38/hr
• VTS: $40/hr

Pay is determined by skills assessment.
