Animal Medical Clinic in Sumter, SC is seeking a Veterinary Technician or Experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our fast-paced, high-quality hospital team. You’ll help provide advanced patient care and work closely with veterinarians.

Qualifications

• Previous veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience required.
• LVT or CVT credentials strongly preferred.
• Strong technical and patient care skills.
• Excellent communication and client service abilities.
• Confidence working in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective patient handling and restraint.
• Support preventative care appointments and vaccine protocols.
• Assist with emergency and surgical patient care, including IV catheter placement.
• Obtain diagnostics including radiographs, phlebotomy, and laboratory sample collection.
• Perform in-house laboratory testing and patient monitoring.
• Support veterinarians during exams, procedures, and treatments.
• Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation.
• Serve as a mentor and positive resource for fellow team members.
