The ideal candidate will have advanced veterinary skills, excellent communication, and outstanding time management and organizational abilities to drive performance and patient care. This is an on-site leadership opportunity in Pittsburgh.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate advanced proficiency as a Veterinary Technician or Advanced Patient Care Associate within their department.
• Create effective working relationships with hospital leadership to ensure standards of care are understood and delivered.
• Serve as a subject-matter expert and resource to Technicians and Assistants regarding daily operations and patient care.
• Mentor staff by demonstrating positive work habits, clinical skills and business knowledge.
• Coach staff to create a culture of strong performance and high productivity.
• Communicate changes in protocol, policies, and new ideas clearly to the team.
• Build positive relationships across the hospital and administration to facilitate teamwork.
• Implement process improvement initiatives and schedule ongoing training.
