Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Technician Manager to lead and inspire a team of veterinary professionals. You will train, mentor, and develop staff while upholding high standards of patient care and customer service.

The role emphasizes advanced clinical skills, strong communication, time management, and organizational excellence within a dynamic hospital environment. You will collaborate with hospital leadership and schedule ongoing training to drive performance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and training a team of veterinary professionals.
• Strong communication, time management and organizational skills.
• Advanced veterinary skills and ability to mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate advanced proficiency as a Veterinary Technician within their department and maintain related skills.
• Build effective working relationships with hospital leadership to ensure standards of care are understood, communicated, and delivered.
• Serve as a subject-matter expert and resource to Technicians and Assistants regarding daily operations, patient care, and skill development.
• Serve as a mentor to staff by demonstrating positive work habits, effective clinical skills and business knowledge.
• Identify conflicts in the workplace and seek resolution to create effective working relationships.
• Coach staff to create a culture of strong performance and high productivity.
• Clearly communicate with team members to ensure understanding of new ideas, changes in protocol, policies, and impending changes.
• Build positive relationships across the hospital and administration to facilitate teamwork.
• Implement process improvement initiatives.
• Work with the Technician Training Manager to schedule ongoing training.
• Document performance-related issues, assess team members during annual reviews, and provide leadership with recommendations.
