Qualifications

  • Current Veterinary Technician credential (LVT, RVT, or CVT) per state rules.
  • Experience with laboratory testing and radiography.
  • Strong patient handling and client education skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, surgeries, and medical procedures.
  • Monitor anesthesia throughout surgical procedures.
  • Prepare patients and equipment for surgery.
  • Safely and compassionately handle and restrain patients.
  • Perform venipuncture and collect diagnostic samples.
  • Run in-house laboratory testing.
  • Obtain high-quality diagnostic radiographs.
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed.
  • Monitor hospitalized patients and provide attentive nursing care.
  • Maintain accurate and complete medical records.
  • Educate clients on medications, treatment plans, preventive care, and discharge instructions.
  • Prepare examination rooms and treatment areas.
  • Maintain clean, organized treatment and surgical areas.
  • Follow hospital protocols for patient safety and quality care.
  • Collaborate with the veterinary team to provide an exceptional client experience.

Salary: Negotiable and based on experience
Schedule: 4-day work week, rotating Saturdays, closed Sunday

  • Current Veterinary Technician credential (LVT, RVT, or CVT as required by state regulations)
  • Previous veterinary clinical experience preferred
