Marin Pet Hospital is seeking an experienced or licensed Veterinary Technician to join our collaborative team in San Rafael, CA. This full-time role offers an hourly wage of $30–$33 and a schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, with potential for 4/10s and no weekends.

You will support veterinarians in exams, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures while maintaining high standards of patient care. Client education and accurate records are essential to our practice.

What You’ll Do

• Support veterinarians in providing high-quality, compassionate medical care
• Assist with examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures
• Safely handle and restrain patients using fear-free and low-stress techniques
• Anticipate the needs of DVMs to support smooth, efficient patient care
• Collect and prepare diagnostic samples as appropriate
• Administer medications and treatments under veterinarian direction
• Assist with surgical preparation, anesthesia, monitoring, and patient recovery as appropriate to your training and skill level
• Educate clients about preventive care, treatments, medications, and their pets’ ongoing health needs
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners
• Maintain complete and accurate patient medical records
• Collaborate closely with fellow technicians, veterinarians, and support team members
• Contribute to a positive, uplifting hospital environment
