Position Overview
Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) at Lancaster Small Animal Hospital. Full‑time role with predictable schedule, actual lunch breaks, and work‑life balance. Salary $19–$24 per hour, based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures
- Monitor anesthesia and support surgical patient care
- Provide compassionate nursing care for hospitalized patients
- Administer medications and treatments as directed
- Collect laboratory samples and perform diagnostic testing
- Educate clients on treatment plans, medications, and preventative care
- Maintain accurate patient records and medical documentation
- Support efficient hospital operations through teamwork and communication
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Veterinary Technician credentials
- Strong interest in surgery and anesthesia monitoring
- Excellent technical and patient care skills
- Strong communication and client education abilities
