VCA Animal Care Center of Sonoma County, located near Santa Rosa in Rohnert Park, CA, is a 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital seeking experienced technicians to join our team. You will be trained on our flow and protocols before shifts and paired with an experienced team member to support various departments.

Qualifications

• Experienced veterinary technicians available for relief shifts.
• Willing to learn hospital flow and protocols with training prior to shifts.
• Emergency and specialty care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support emergency and specialty teams during shifts.
• Perform anesthesia monitoring.
• Assist in surgeries and surgical preparation.
• Provide dentistry, radiology, and laboratory services.
• Execute venipuncture and catheter placement as needed.
• Medication handling and patient recovery care.
• Deliver compassionate care to hospitalized animals.
• Assist with triage and patient assessment.

We are seeking experienced Technicians to support our team! Located near Santa Rosa in Rohnert Park, CA, VCA Animal Care Center of Sonoma County, is a 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital that has been caring for the pets of our community for over 40 years. Our hospital is fully equipped with advanced diagnostic and therapeutic equipment that includes MRI, CT, ultrasound, endoscopy and fluoroscopy. With access to a wide variety of equipment and resources, you will be able to provide the highest quality care to our patients. Advance your skills by having the opportunity to work with our various specialty departments: Emergency, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Neurology.

We want to support our team by giving them the time off they deserve, this is the role that you would play for our hospital! As a relief technician you will receive training of our flow and protocols prior to being scheduled for a shift. Once on shift you will also be paired with an experienced team member in that department to give you further support as you learn the ways of specialty and emergency. Compensation ranges from $30 - $34/hour depending on experience.
