Job summary

CityVet Alamo Heights seeks an experienced Veterinary Technician Lead to empower the team, support the Veterinarian, and elevate patient care in a busy clinic. You will mentor staff, streamline procedures, and ensure high-quality medical records and client communication.

Compensation is based on experience and education. This role emphasizes leadership, hands-on technical skills, and a positive, energetic approach.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in veterinary medicine required.
• Surgical experience preferred.
• Ability to lead and train VT staff.

Responsibilities

• Ensure QC and accuracy of VT work, case notes, and chart records.
• Assist with staff scheduling and surgery rotation.
• Maintain surgical skill set and manage supplies.
• Interview, train and develop new Veterinary Technicians and Technician Assistants to CityVet’s standards.
• Work with Practice Manager and Lead Veterinarian to resolve client issues.
• Support veterinarians and maintain positive team relationships.
• Assist Client Service Specialist team when needed.
