BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring an ICU Veterinary Technician for our Philadelphia, PA Hospital!

Pay & Benefits

Pay: $21.00 - $43.00 per hour. This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through the leveling system.

We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked for nights and weekends.

*Shift differentials are based on a 4‑hour minimum. For example:

• Mon - Fri: 6 pm to 8 am = $3.50 Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 6 pm to 8 am = $5.00 Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 8 am to 6 pm = $3.50 Shift Differential

About the Role

BluePearl Pet Hospital, the role of Veterinary Technician is an exciting, fast‑paced opportunity that will allow you to utilize the skills that you have worked so hard to gain. We will also give you the chance to expand and grow your skills, all while working alongside some of the most talented veterinary professionals.

Responsibilities

• Triage and obtain patient history
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR
• Place IVC's and advanced catheters such as Jugular catheters, Central Lines or PICC lines.
• Monitor and care for ventilator cases
• Work alongside other skilled technicians and assistants in providing excellent, advanced medicine to patients
• Have a passion for mentoring and training other co‑workers
• Feel gratification of nursing critically ill patients back to health and reunite them with their pet parents
